1. a lot of/lots of
这对词组通常别在academic essay中出现，考官因为已看烦了。能够换成A considerable number of来代替它们。
例如：There are a lot of books in the library.
There are a considerable number of books in the library.
2. Recently
这个词不好，按照专家的说法事实上即是too imprecise,不存在一个具体的时间。可以用 in the last five years…/since…代替。
例如：Recently, many foreigners came to China.
3.There is a survey……
专家一般会这么说: Has there been?相当于是说考官清楚这些全部是你编的，一般不要用了。
例如：There is a survey on this problem.
4.And, but
这三个词大家经常使用到。事实上一般使用in addition。
例如：And another three students come from Shanghai.
5.No one can deny that…/Undoubtedly
这2个词组用来开头并不合适。事实上每一个人都是可以保持和你意见相反的态度。
例如：Undoubtedly, everyone knows it is true.
6.In my opinion, I agree/disagree with this
这是多余的表达。When stating your opinion you follow with a fact 相信大家都能看懂，便不会翻译了。
例如：In my opinion, we should do this job at once.
7.Nowadays
理由与2基本相同, 这个词使用在文章里显得过于普通了, 专家的原话是it does not mean very much。
例如：Nowadays, more and more students go abroad to seek better education.
8.不能用vivid 来形容world，vivid能够用来表示memories或者是dream之类的。
9.It is a well known fact…一般不要用, 有的考官可能会扣分。
不不可以使用来形容delicious, gorgeous and huge。
11.雅思写作文章里一定不可以使用缩写, 例如I’m，在考场上千万别犯懒，在平日也不要缩写，多多注意养成良好的习惯。
